Doodling is an act of making drawings technically in an unfocused or inattentive manner. The word doodle basically got its meaning in the early 17th century as a fool or ill-mannered. It was initially considered discourteous to doodle. However, with constantly changing world, it is now considered as a form of art.
Sometimes, doodle is considered as a repetitive pattern of something whether be it an object, shape, creature or anything in this universe as far as the imagination wanders. Sometimes, it is considered alike to scribbling in a way when the drawing object is not lifted even once during the whole deed. They were once associated to small children and toddlers but nowadays adults find it the most interesting task to perform during the leisure time. No two doodles may be same, but they represent the thoughts in our mind and the quality of our soul.
Being considered as an unappreciated activity, still doodling has major benefits:-
IMPROVED CONCENTRATION: - Doodling and creative thinking helps in improving the problem- solving skills and focusing on the present. It can help in maintaining the serenity of mind and relaxing the body. There is no harm trying it now.
REDUCING MENTAL STRESS: - It is shown in studies that a doodler is tension-free than a non- doodler. If doodling can enhance your lifestyle, there’s no distress in continuing it.
